Landscape Designer

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assist in graphic presentations by preparing graphic drawings and digital 3D models using Video Creation/Editing software (Lumion, McNeel Rhinoceros 3D, Enscape, Twinmotion, Trimble SketchUp Pro) as well as Graphics and Photo Imaging software (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator.)
  • Assist in the creation and update of technical drawings and documentation using Computer Aided Design programs. (Autodesk AutoCAD, McNeel Rhinoceros 3D, Trimble SketchUp Pro.)
  • Assist project managers in analyzing information on site conditions including site location, drainage, environmental reports, and assessing how regulations and codes impact the design analysis.
  • Support project managers to develop solutions for site specific plans including specifications, cost estimates, and documentation throughout the project’s design phases.
  • Assist in planting plans, which requires knowledge of indigenous/native plants.
  • Help coordinate the work of various teams involved in each project including company staff, engineers, plant nurseries, consultants and contractors.

Educational and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture or a related field and 1 year as a Landscape Architect or related field. Experience or skills must include:

  • Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as Autodesk AutoCAD, McNeel Rhinoceros 3D, and/or Trimble SketchUp Pro.
  • Video Creation/Editing software, such as Lumion, Enscape, and/or Twinmotion.
  • Graphics and Photo Imaging software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and/or Adobe Illustrator.
  • Familiarity with California’s native and drought-resistant plants. 
  • Experience in landscape site analysis.
